- Demonstrated AF domain size relevance with FM dot size.
- Showed the interaction between exchange bias and magnetic vortex state.
- Modeled the magnetization reversal process by micromagnetic and Monte-Carlo simulation.
Exchange bias thin films
- Demonstrated AF domain size relevance compared with FM domain wall width.
- Demonstrated the existence of FM exchange spring in FM/AF bilayer.
- Systematically studied origins of asymmetric reversal.
- Discovered tunable temperature hysteresis in spontaneous magnetization reversal and its dynamics.
Developing reflection X-ray holography
(Collaboration with S. Sinha and S. Roy)
- Designed the experiment, and supported by calculation.
- Fabricated prototype samples for beam-line experiment.
Spin Polarized Tunneling
- Studied bias-dependent oscillations in magneto-resistance in MgO tunnel junctions.
- Theoretically studied the anomalous parabolic behavior of tunnel junctions at high biases.
